1. Quick start

  1. Access: join our Discord and press 🛒 Subscribe in the panel: pick your plan and how you pay, pay in your private ticket and the crew activates you. Then press 🔑 Open PerfDeck on Discord, or Sign in with Discord on this website.
  2. Set up once: on your account page, section PerfDeck settings, save your SimBrief Pilot ID and your standard values (STD) for take-off and landing.
  3. My Flight: tap Update: your latest SimBrief OFP is imported automatically (aircraft, registration, weights, flight number, airports, planned runways). Or enter them by hand.
  4. Tap the TAKEOFF tab. Select the runway: the runway graphic appears on the right and the WIND field opens.
  5. Enter wind, OAT, QNH, runway condition and anti-ice. Each entry opens the next field. Weather is always entered manually, like in a real EFB.
  6. Check TOW, thrust and CONF, then press COMPUTE. Results appear after a short computation.
  7. Swipe to the second page for the MCDU PERF TAKE OFF page and copy the values into the aircraft.
  8. Repeat on the LANDING tab for VLS / VAPP and landing distances.

2. SimBrief

Save your SimBrief Pilot ID or username once in your account (PerfDeck settings). From then on, tapping Update on My Flight imports your latest OFP with no questions asked. PerfDeck fills in aircraft, registration, weight variant, flight number, airports, planned runways and estimated weights. If your SimBrief profile has Runway Analysis enabled, the official declared distances (TORA / TODA / ASDA / LDA) of all runways of departure and destination are imported and kept for the next flights. Weather is not imported: enter it from the ATIS / METAR.

2a. Standard settings (STD)

Every new flight (after Update or CLEAR) starts with your standard values: T.O. thrust (FLEX or TOGA), flaps / CONF, air cond and anti-ice for take-off; CONF, reversers, A/THR, ice accretion and autoland for landing. Choose them once on your account page, section PerfDeck settings; in PerfDeck the chosen value shows "(STD)" and anything you change for a single flight shows in the user colour.

3. Runway data and modifications

Runway data come from three layers: the built-in database (physical length), the declared distances from your SimBrief OFPs, and your own saved corrections. Tap MOD under the runway to apply NOTAM modifications (shortened runway, intersection take-off, displaced threshold), to change elevation and slope, or to add an obstacle. Save as RWY data keeps your values for that runway permanently.

4. Reading the results

FieldMeaning
CONF / THRUSTFlap configuration and FLEX temperature (or TOGA) to set in the MCDU.
V1 / VR / V2Decision, rotation and take-off safety speeds.
LimitationWhy the weight is limited: TOW (not limited), RWY0/RWY1 (runway length, all engines / one engine out), 2SEG (second segment climb), OBS (obstacle), BRK (brake energy), TIRE (tire speed), VMCG, VMU.
ENG OUT ACCEngine-out acceleration altitude (runway elevation + 1,500 ft).
MTOW (PERF)Maximum take-off weight for the conditions entered.
Landing distancesFactored landing distances (in-flight distance × 1.15) for MAX MAN, MED and LO; amber when longer than the LDA.

5. How the numbers are computed

Take-off: PerfDeck integrates the take-off run with all engines, with one engine failing at V1 (continued take-off to screen height) and with a rejected take-off (stop within the ASDA). It then checks the climb segments, VMCG / VMCA / VMU, tire speed, brake energy and obstacles, and searches the best configuration, V2/VS ratio and the highest FLEX temperature that passes every check. Thrust, drag and braking are calibrated on the take-off weight limitation charts published by Airbus in the A320 Aircraft Characteristics – Airport and Maintenance Planning document.

Landing: VLS and VAPP follow the published Airbus approach speed logic (A/THR, ice accretion, 1/3 of the headwind, maximum 15 kt). In-flight landing distances use the assumptions of the ICAO Global Reporting Format and FAA AC 25-32 (airborne phase from 50 ft, transition, braking coefficients per runway condition code, reverse thrust credit) and are calibrated on the landing distances published in the same Airbus document.

Results are realistic but not identical to a certified airline performance tool. For flight simulation only.

6. Access

PerfDeck runs in the browser: sign in with Discord and open it from the top bar or your account page, or press 🔑 Open PerfDeck on our Discord. On an iPad open the same address in Safari and add it to the home screen for a full-screen EFB. Your account works on one device at a time: signing in on another device signs out the first within a few seconds. Your flight data stay in that browser. When your access ends, the app no longer opens; press 🔁 Renew on Discord whenever you like: your account and data are kept.

7. Keyboard shortcuts (PC)

Digits and Enter = Done, Tab = Next, Esc = close, Enter on the screen = COMPUTE, +/- toggles the sign.
